What holds it back from a perfect score: the membership fee is not published (you have to ask), and the joining process requires contact before you turn up — slightly more friction than La Isla Verde's same-day walk-in registration. Neither will matter to most visitors who plan a day ahead.

The Hood sits at Plaza Reyes Católicos 17, 29601 Marbella — central Marbella proper, roughly 150 metres west of Plaza de los Naranjos, the postcard heart of the Old Town. The beach is a short walk south; Puerto Banús is minutes away by car or taxi.

For visitors this location is close to ideal. Most of Marbella's quality clubs force a trade-off: the budget cluster is out in San Pedro de Alcántara, the luxury options are in Puerto Banús, and the centre's established names are good but not luxurious. The Hood breaks that trade-off — a genuinely premium lounge you can fold into a normal Old Town afternoon without planning transport around it.

The entrance is discreet, as Spanish law effectively requires of every club. Look for the address, not for signage shouting about cannabis — and once you are a member, the door works like any private members' club.

The interior is the strongest first impression of any club we cover in Marbella. The theme is botanical luxury — dense greenery, tropical decor, warm materials — arranged across distinct zones: a relaxation lounge, a Mediterranean terrace, a gaming and social area, and the premium counter where the menu lives.

Three things separate the experience from the rest of the centre:

1. The staff. Budtenders are fluent in English, Spanish and French, and the service style is closer to a good hotel bar than a smoking room. For a town whose visitors are mostly foreign, this matters more than any interior choice.
2. The programme. Music nights, strain launches and community meetups run regularly. Most Marbella clubs are rooms; The Hood behaves like a membership.
3. The hours. 10:00 to 04:00, seven days a week — long enough for both a daytime terrace session and a proper night out, and among the longest hours in central Marbella (only Cali Smokers advertises more).

House rules are standard for a legitimate Spanish club: no photos or videos inside, consumption on the premises only, respect the neighbours on the way out. Read our etiquette guide if it is your first visit.

The Hood's stated focus is premium flower, selected for quality and consistency — and the menu depth backs it up: more than 50 strains in rotation across indica, sativa and hybrid, alongside concentrates, edibles and pre-rolls.

A rotating menu of this size is unusual in Marbella. Most clubs in town run a tighter list; the only comparable breadth we know of is at the established brand clubs, and they do not pair it with this kind of lounge. The rotation also means repeat visits stay interesting — strain launches are part of the events calendar, not just a menu update.

As at every Spanish cannabis association, products are supplied against member donations rather than sales — expect typical Marbella donation levels (roughly €8–15 per gram for flower across the scene, more for extracts) and bring cash, because no club takes cards. One honest note: the club does not publish a menu publicly (Spanish clubs legally cannot advertise products), so specific strains and prices are confirmed inside, as members.

The Hood runs the classic closed-circuit model with a contact-first twist. As of June 2026:

1. Make contact before you go. Either through a referral from an existing member, or directly via the club's website contact form, email, or Instagram (@thehood_socialclub_marbella). This replaces the walk-up registration some other clubs allow.
2. Bring your passport or ID. The club is strictly 21+ — younger travellers should look at 18+ clubs like Green House Puerto Banús.
3. Register at the club and pay the annual fee. The fee is not published; confirm the current rate when you make contact. Membership includes full menu access, the lounge and all social events.
4. Enjoy — on the premises. Like every legitimate club, nothing leaves the building.

The honest counter-cases: if you want the absolute fastest zero-planning registration, La Isla Verde still wins on pure speed. If you are basing yourself in Banús and never leaving the marina, 1e Hulp is the closer pick. For everyone else — and especially anyone staying in or near central Marbella who wants the best overall experience the coast offers — The Hood is the answer.
